About

Simon Songhurst is a travel and destination photographer and filmmaker based between London and Italy, creating cinematic visual storytelling for destinations, hotels, hospitality brands, and editorial projects across Europe and beyond.

With more than 30 years of professional experience working across photography and motion, Simon brings a refined commercial approach to destination imagery — combining atmosphere, light, movement, and storytelling to create work that feels both cinematic and authentic.

Much of Simon’s work is shaped by life between the UK and Italy, travelling through coastal towns, cities, landscapes, and quieter locations throughout Europe, documenting the character and feeling of a place through both still photography and film.

Alongside destination storytelling, Simon continues to work across commercial photography and filmmaking, with a background in beauty, luxury, and brand imagery helping shape his visual style and attention to detail.

Simon collaborates with hotels, tourism brands, hospitality groups, and commercial clients, creating photography and motion content for campaigns, editorial commissions, and destination marketing projects.
