Better Colour.

I like good colour. I just don't particularly enjoy spending half my edit building it from scratch. Cinecolor gives me a much faster starting point for Sony, DJI, Fujifilm and mixed-camera footage — and you can save 15% with my code SIMON15.

Why Cinecolor Fits Me

I Am Not A
Full-Time Colourist.

I'm a photographer and filmmaker first. I want colour to support the film — I don't want every edit to become an afternoon-long exercise in node trees.

My actual shooting life is quite mixed. Commercial filmmaking might have me working with Sony or Lumix. Travel work can be shot on a DJI Pocket camera. Other projects might involve Fujifilm, multiple cameras or footage captured days apart in completely different conditions.

I enjoy colour, but I'm also very aware that time spent grading is time I'm not shooting, editing the story or getting the next piece of work finished. That's why I jokingly describe myself as a lazy grader. I want a strong starting point quickly and then I want to make small corrections around that.

That's where a well-designed LUT can be genuinely useful. I'm not looking for something that destroys the image with an enormous baked-in “cinematic” look. I want cleaner colour, sensible contrast, usable skin tones and a base that I can refine.

Cinecolor's range is particularly interesting because it now covers both sides of that workflow: technical conversion and camera matching at one end, and creative film-inspired looks at the other.

Camera Workflows

The Three Systems
I Care About Most

Cinecolor supports far more formats than these, but Sony, DJI and Fujifilm are particularly relevant to the way I shoot and to the people who follow my work.

Sony

S-Log3

Sony Log can look deliberately flat straight from camera. Cinecolor offers both free technical conversion tools and much deeper paid S-Log3 packs for getting to a stronger starting point quickly.

  • S-Log3 conversion tools
  • Dedicated S-Log3 collections
  • Pro Color camera packs
  • Useful for Sony cinema & mirrorless workflows

DJI

D-Log

Particularly relevant for travel filmmaking. Cinecolor currently offers a free DJI D-Log conversion LUT as well as D-Log support inside its wider camera-matching tools.

  • Free D-Log conversion LUT
  • Useful for DJI camera workflows
  • D-Log included in Cinespace
  • Fast base correction for travel edits
Explore DJI Colour →
Fujifilm

F-Log / F-Log2

Fujifilm already starts with strong colour. Cinecolor's Fuji Pro Color pack is currently designed for both F-Log and F-Log2 and includes multiple filmic looks rather than just one conversion.

  • F-Log conversion available free
  • F-Log & F-Log2 Pro Color support
  • Film-inspired looks
  • Designed around major Fuji bodies

How I Would Use Cinecolor

Different Job.
Different Starting Point.

LUTs are most useful when they solve a specific workflow problem rather than being thrown over every clip at 100% intensity.

Commercial Work

Consistency First

For client films I care more about controlled colour, natural skin and consistency between shots than an aggressive “look”. A technical starting point followed by a subtle creative treatment makes more sense.

Travel Filmmaking

Speed Matters

Travel edits can involve huge amounts of footage. A strong starting LUT lets me establish the direction quickly and spend more time shaping pace, sound and story instead of correcting every shot from zero.

Multi-Camera

Match Before You Style

If Sony, DJI, Lumix, Fuji or phone footage ends up in the same timeline, getting those cameras into a common neutral space before adding a look is far more useful than simply dropping one creative LUT over everything.

What To Buy

Cinecolor Is More
Than One LUT Pack

The current store is broad enough that it's worth understanding the difference between technical tools, camera packs and creative looks before spending money.

Camera Specific

Pro Color Packs

Camera-focused packs built around formats such as Sony S-Log3, Fuji F-Log, Panasonic V-Log, Canon C-Log, Blackmagic and Apple Log.

Cinecolor LUT FAQ

Before You Buy

Is there a Cinecolor discount code?
Yes. Use code SIMON15 at Cinecolor checkout to receive 15% off eligible purchases.
Does Cinecolor have free LUTs?
Yes. Cinecolor currently has a substantial free LUT library, including Log-to-Rec.709 conversion LUTs for Sony S-Log3, Sony S-Log2, Fuji F-Log, DJI D-Log, Canon C-Log, Blackmagic Film, Panasonic V-Log, Nikon N-Log and other formats.
Are Cinecolor LUTs good for Sony S-Log3?
Sony S-Log3 is one of Cinecolor's strongest areas. The store currently offers a free S-Log3 conversion LUT, dedicated Pro Color options and a larger S-Log3 Master Collection.
Does Cinecolor support Fujifilm F-Log2?
Yes. Cinecolor's current Fuji F-Log Pro Color product is designed for both F-Log and F-Log2 and includes multiple filmic looks for major Fujifilm cameras.
Does Cinecolor have DJI LUTs?
Yes. Cinecolor currently offers a free DJI D-Log conversion LUT, and DJI D-Log is also supported within broader tools such as Cinespace.
What is Cinespace 2.0?
Cinespace 2.0 is Cinecolor's camera-matching/intermediate workflow. You apply the LUT corresponding to each source format so footage from different cameras can be brought towards a shared neutral starting point before creative grading.
What camera formats does Cinespace support?
Cinecolor currently lists Sony S-Log3, Canon C-Log/C-Log2/C-Log3, Blackmagic Film, Fuji F-Log, Lumix V-Log, DJI D-Log, RED IPP2, Apple Log/Log2, Nikon N-Log and GoPro GP-Log among the supported Cinespace formats.
Will Cinecolor LUTs work in DaVinci Resolve?
Cinecolor distributes many of its video LUTs in standard .cube format, which is supported by DaVinci Resolve and other major colour/video applications. Always check the individual product page for the exact files included.
Will Cinecolor LUTs work in Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro?
Standard .cube LUTs can be used in Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro and other compatible editors. Cinecolor also specifically positions some technical products, including its CST LUT pack, as tools for bringing Resolve-style colour-space transformations into other editing software.
Are LUTs a replacement for colour grading?
I don't treat them that way. A LUT is a starting point. I still correct exposure, white balance and individual shots where necessary, and I usually reduce or adjust the creative treatment to suit the footage rather than blindly applying a look at full strength.
Which Cinecolor pack should I buy first?
If you only shoot one Log format, start with the camera-specific pack that matches it. If you regularly mix multiple cameras, a product such as Cinespace or a broader camera master collection may make more sense. If you're unsure, try Cinecolor's free conversion LUTs first.
Can I use SIMON15 on Cinecolor bundles?
Try SIMON15 at checkout on the product you want. Cinecolor controls current product eligibility and promotions, so the checkout should always be treated as the final confirmation that the discount applies.
