One of the biggest potential bottlenecks in professional photography appears once the images leave the camera. Suddenly you're dealing with contact sheets, exports, folders, review links, image numbers, emails, comments and potentially several different people making decisions.
If that stage isn't organised, even a successful shoot can begin to feel unnecessarily complicated.
That's where Moodcase fits into my workflow. It gives the review stage a proper structure so the client can see the images, make decisions and communicate feedback without me having to piece the project together from several different conversations.
My workflow perspective
I don't see client proofing as admin that happens after the creative work. It's part of the service. The way a client selects and approves their images should feel just as considered as the shoot itself.
Workflow 01
Review
Give clients a dedicated environment in which to see the imagery rather than sending a loose folder of files.
Workflow 02
Select
Keep the chosen images attached to the project so there's less ambiguity about which photographs move forward.
Workflow 03
Feedback
Keep comments and correction notes associated with the relevant image instead of separating them into another conversation.
Workflow 04
Approve
Create a clearer decision point before work moves into final retouching or delivery.
