Montesilvano Beach | DJI Mini 4 Pro 360
Aerial views of Italy's Adriatic coastline as the beach clubs, umbrellas and shoreline begin preparing for another summer season.
Subscribe To My YouTube Channel →These aerial images were captured over Montesilvano Beach on 9 May 2026 as the coastline began preparing for another summer season along Italy's Adriatic coast.
One of the things I enjoy most about drone photography is the ability to see familiar places from a completely different perspective. Looking down from above, you can clearly see the beach establishments coming back to life, rows of umbrellas being installed and the sand being prepared for the busy months ahead.
Every year the winter storms wash large amounts of debris onto the shoreline. Driftwood, seaweed and other natural material can leave sections of the beach looking completely different from the way most visitors experience it during summer.
The Quiet Weeks Before Summer Returns
What fascinates me about these photographs is that they show a period of transition. Most people visit Montesilvano during summer when the beach is full of activity, but very few get to see the work that happens beforehand.
Montesilvano has become something of a second home for us. We try to return to Italy as often as possible and spending time on the beach has become part of our daily routine whenever we are here.
A walk with a camera, a drone flight above the coastline or simply sitting and watching the sea has become one of my favourite ways to slow down and reset.
Capturing The Adriatic Coast From Above
All of these images were captured using the DJI Mini 4 Pro and later edited inside DxO PhotoLab 9. The combination works exceptionally well for travel photography and aerial documentation projects like this.
The drone allows me to capture patterns and shapes that simply don't exist from ground level. From above, the relationship between the beach clubs, the promenade, the sea and the town becomes far easier to appreciate.
My goal with these images was not to create something overly processed but to document a genuine moment in time as Montesilvano prepared itself for another summer season.
Over the coming months I'll be sharing more aerial photography, walking tours, street photography, image slideshows and travel stories from across Italy.
If you'd like to learn how I publish high-resolution 360 images online, let me know. If there is enough interest I'll happily create a full tutorial for the Travel & Street YouTube channel.
