Best Camera for POV Videos - DJI Osmo Nano
Exploring Pescara by Scooter
During my latest visit to Pescara I rented one of the local BIT electric scooters and headed along the Adriatic coastline to see how the new DJI Osmo Nano performs for POV filming. What started as a simple camera test turned into one of the most enjoyable ways I've explored the city so far.

Pescara is one of those cities that seems perfectly suited to slow exploration. The Lungomare stretches for kilometres along the Adriatic coastline, linking beaches, cafés, cycle paths, parks and residential neighbourhoods into one long ribbon beside the sea.
Walking is enjoyable, but a scooter allows you to cover far more ground while still remaining connected to everything around you. Within minutes of unlocking the BIT scooter I was gliding along dedicated cycle routes with the sea on one side and everyday Italian life unfolding on the other.
The atmosphere along the seafront feels relaxed and unhurried. Cyclists pass by, runners make their way along the promenade, beachgoers drift between cafés and the sand, and the whole area has an energy that feels distinctly Mediterranean.
If you're visiting Pescara for a few days, renting a BIT scooter or bike is one of the easiest ways to explore more of the city without relying on taxis or public transport.
Testing the DJI Osmo Nano
This ride was also the perfect opportunity to test the DJI Osmo Nano in a genuine travel scenario. Rather than filming a controlled review, I wanted to see how it performed when simply documenting a journey.
The footage was recorded in D-Log M and later colour graded in DaVinci Resolve. Bright sunlight, reflective sea views and patches of deep shade create challenging conditions for any compact camera, but the Nano handled the route surprisingly well while remaining lightweight and unobtrusive.
For creators producing walking tours, bike rides, scooter tours or general travel content, this type of camera setup makes a lot of sense. It's small enough to carry everywhere yet capable of producing immersive first-person footage.
The Police Moment
At one point during the ride I passed a group of local police officers positioned near the cycle route. For a brief moment I genuinely thought they might be about to stop me.
Nothing happened, but it was one of those moments where your attention immediately sharpens and you begin wondering whether you've accidentally done something wrong. Looking back at the footage afterwards it became one of the most memorable moments of the entire journey and ultimately inspired the thumbnail for the video.
Sometimes the smallest moments become the stories you remember most.
Why BIT Scooters Are Worth Trying
If you're visiting Pescara, the BIT rental network is worth considering. Scooters and bicycles are available throughout the city, making it easy to move between locations while still enjoying the surroundings.
For photographers, filmmakers and content creators, they're especially useful because they allow you to cover a lot more ground than walking while still staying connected to the environment. Whether you're heading towards Ponte del Mare or simply exploring the coastline, they're a practical and affordable option.
Final Thoughts
What started as a simple camera test ended up becoming one of my favourite experiences of this visit to Pescara. The combination of clear blue skies, dedicated cycle paths, coastal views and the freedom of an electric scooter created the perfect setting for an afternoon of exploration.
Travel content doesn't always require complicated plans or expensive productions. Sometimes all you need is a camera, a route worth exploring and the curiosity to see where the day takes you.
