Black Ember Sales
Black Ember has run dedicated seasonal campaigns, including Spring Sale and Black Friday sale pages. If you're not in a rush, these are obvious periods worth checking.
Looking for a Black Ember discount code, sale or coupon? I don't currently have a permanent Black Ember code, but that doesn't mean you should automatically pay full price. Black Ember runs seasonal sales, preorder discounts, Final Sale reductions and other limited offers throughout the year.
NO PERMANENT SIMON DISCOUNT CODE AT PRESENT · CHECK BLACK EMBER FOR CURRENT SEASONAL, PREORDER & FINAL SALE PRICING.
I don't currently have a permanent Black Ember discount code to give you.
What I would do instead is check the Black Ember website before buying. The brand runs genuine promotions at different points of the year, including seasonal sales, preorder savings and Final Sale reductions.
Black Ember's discount structure is more interesting than a single evergreen coupon because different products can be reduced in different ways.

Selected new products can launch with preorder savings. Black Ember says these can be tiered, with earlier preorder customers potentially receiving larger reductions.
Older editions, selected accessories and outgoing products can appear under Final Sale pricing, sometimes at considerably lower prices than the original retail price.
Black Ember promotes Special Offers and exclusive promotions through its own store, so the direct website is the first place I'd check before purchasing elsewhere.
There may not be a permanent coupon code, but a preorder, seasonal promotion or Final Sale product can be considerably more useful than an old voucher code from a coupon website.
For me, the Grip 9 hits the useful middle ground between a tiny crossbody and carrying a full camera backpack around all day.
My own interest in Black Ember comes from travel and photography rather than simply collecting EDC bags. When I'm spending a day walking around a city, I usually don't want to carry my full professional camera setup.
The Grip Sling 9 is a 9-litre technical sling that works particularly well when you deliberately reduce the amount of gear you're taking. One compact mirrorless camera, a small lens or two, batteries, phone, wallet, passport, filters and a few creator accessories is a much more realistic use case than trying to turn it into a miniature production case.
I also like the fact that it doesn't immediately look like a traditional padded camera bag. Remove the optional camera insert and it goes back to being a technical travel or everyday sling.
That versatility is probably more important to me than squeezing one extra lens inside.
The Grip 9 is the mid-size option in Black Ember's current sling family and is aimed at compact camera, tablet and everyday-carry setups.
Enough capacity for a deliberately compact camera and travel setup without moving into backpack territory.
Compact enough for daily city use while still providing a structured 9L interior.
Not ultralight, but the additional weight reflects the structured technical construction and hardware.
Useful if your travel workflow includes an iPad or similar compact tablet alongside the camera.
Camera insert is optional on the standard sling.
This is an important distinction. The standard Grip Sling 9 is not simply a conventional padded camera sling out of the box.
Black Ember sells a dedicated modular camera insert separately. It is designed for mirrorless and similar-sized camera systems and uses movable dividers so the internal layout can be changed around your equipment.
That makes the Grip more versatile. You can drop the insert in when you're carrying camera equipment, then remove it when you want a normal travel or EDC sling.
Black Ember sits at the premium end of technical carry, so deciding whether it's worth the money comes down to how much you value construction, materials, modularity and design.
If you're already interested in one of the bags, there are three things I'd do before completing the order.
Start on Black Ember's own website and look for Special Offers, Final Sale pricing or a current seasonal campaign.
If a new generation or colour is launching, compare preorder pricing. Selected launches can carry an introductory saving.
If you're ordering internationally, compare shipping, duties and taxes so you're looking at the real delivered price rather than only the headline product price.
I don't currently have a permanent Black Ember code, but the brand regularly uses direct sales, preorder pricing and limited promotions. Check the live store before you order.
