Travel Italy Volume One: DxO PhotoLab Presets for RAW Travel Photography
Fifteen warm, film-inspired looks shaped by the colour, light and atmosphere of an Italian summer—created from real photographs made while travelling through Puglia with the Ricoh GR III.
The short answer
What is Travel Italy Volume One?
Travel Italy Volume One is a collection of 15 premium DxO PhotoLab presets for photographers who want warm, refined and film-inspired travel colour without making every image look identical. The pack costs £12.50 and is delivered as an immediate digital download.
The story behind the collection
Born in Puglia. Built around the Ricoh GR III.
This collection began on the road in southern Italy. I travelled through Puglia during the summer with the Ricoh GR III—a camera I love for its size, speed and ability to disappear into everyday life. The photographs were full of everything I associate with an Italian summer: sun-warmed stone, whitewashed streets, deep blue skies, brilliant bougainvillea and people moving naturally through the frame.
I wanted a DxO PhotoLab preset pack that preserved that atmosphere without forcing every image into one heavy-handed style. Travel Italy Volume One grew from that idea: a coordinated set of looks with enough variation to suit changing light, different subjects and different ways of telling a travel story.
The Ricoh GR III was the creative starting point, but the presets are not a Ricoh-only product. They are designed as creative adjustments inside DxO PhotoLab, so the same collection can be used with supported files from Sony, Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, Panasonic, OM System, Olympus, Leica, Pentax, Sigma, Hasselblad and many other cameras.
Inside the pack
Fifteen looks—not one edit repeated fifteen times
The presets share one visual language, but each responds differently to colour, contrast and atmosphere. The result is a collection that feels coherent while still giving you meaningful creative choice.
Warm, natural colour
Sunlit skin, warm stone and soft summer light are treated with care, keeping warmth inviting rather than aggressively orange.
Refined contrast
From clean definition to deeper, moodier structure, the collection gives shadows and highlights shape without crushing the photograph.
Subtle film character
Selected looks introduce restrained fade, softer blacks and gentle tonal shaping for photographs that feel lived-in rather than digital.
Expressive skies and foliage
Carefully balanced blues, cyans and greens help coastlines, architecture and landscapes feel vivid while remaining believable.
Portrait-friendly options
Several presets favour flattering skin and gentler contrast, making the collection useful for destination portraits and lifestyle work.
A consistent travel story
Use different presets across a trip while retaining a connected palette suitable for websites, albums, social posts and client work.
Camera and file compatibility
One collection across supported RAW camera systems
These are DxO PhotoLab presets, not camera-specific picture profiles. They can be applied to photographs that DxO PhotoLab can open, while PhotoLab continues to handle the relevant camera and lens corrections separately.
Compact travel cameras
Developed using the Ricoh GR III and well suited to supported compact cameras from Ricoh, Sony, Canon, Panasonic, Leica and others.
Mirrorless and DSLR systems
Use the collection with supported RAW files from Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, Panasonic Lumix, OM System, Olympus, Leica, Pentax, Sigma, Hasselblad and other manufacturers listed by DxO.
iPhone and phone photographs
DxO PhotoLab supports Apple ProRAW from iPhone 12 and later, together with supported HEIF, HEIC and JPEG files. Other mobile RAW or DNG files depend on DxO’s current camera and format support.
RAW, DNG and RGB files
Supported camera RAW files, compatible DNG files, TIFF and JPEG can all form part of the workflow. Results vary according to the source file, starting exposure, lighting and white balance.
Camera support is controlled by DxO and changes over time. Before buying, check your camera on the official DxO supported-cameras list .

The beginning of the series
Why Volume One?
Travel Italy Volume One is my first dedicated commercial preset collection for DxO PhotoLab. I wanted to begin with the place and photographs that inspired the idea, release a carefully considered pack and see how the DxO community responds.
If photographers find this collection useful, I plan to develop more volumes around different destinations, cameras, light and photographic moods. Buying Volume One supports that next stage—and gives you the collection that began the series.
Frequently asked questions
DxO PhotoLab preset questions
What are DxO PhotoLab presets?
They are saved combinations of creative adjustments that can be applied to a photograph as a starting point. Travel Italy Volume One uses coordinated tone, contrast and colour treatments to create warm, film-inspired travel edits.
How many presets are included?
The collection contains 15 individually crafted preset files, numbered Travel Italy Volume One 01 through 15.
Which cameras can I use?
The presets are not tied to one camera brand. They can be applied to photographs that open in DxO PhotoLab, including supported RAW files from Ricoh, Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, Panasonic, OM System, Olympus, Leica, Pentax, Sigma, Hasselblad and other supported cameras. Always confirm your camera on DxO’s current compatibility list.
Can I use them with phone photographs?
DxO PhotoLab supports Apple ProRAW from iPhone 12 and later, as well as supported HEIF, HEIC and JPEG files. Other mobile RAW or DNG files depend on DxO PhotoLab’s current format and camera support.
Were they created specifically for the Ricoh GR III?
The collection was inspired by summer travel in Puglia and developed using photographs made with the Ricoh GR III. It is not restricted to Ricoh cameras and can be used with other supported camera systems.
Will each preset look identical on every photograph?
No. Presets respond to the light, exposure, white balance, camera and colours in the original photograph. Use them as polished starting points and make small exposure or white-balance adjustments when needed.
Which PhotoLab edition or version should I use?
The collection was created and tested in DxO PhotoLab 10. The complete custom-preset importing and management workflow is supported in DxO PhotoLab ELITE. Compatibility with ESSENTIAL or earlier releases may vary by version and operating system and cannot be guaranteed.
How is the collection delivered?
It is an instant digital download containing 15 .preset
files, installation information and licence terms. No physical product
is posted.
