Dehancer Pro vs Lite: Which Version Should You Choose?

The important question is not simply which version has more features — it is whether Halation, Print Films, Film Damage, advanced processing and LUT Generator are worth paying for in your workflow.

Choose Lite if

  • You mainly want Film Profiles, Grain and Bloom.
  • You prefer a simpler toolset.
  • You do not need LUT export or the deeper analogue-finishing controls.

Choose Pro if

  • Halation is part of your look.
  • You want Print Films and advanced finishing.
  • You want Film Breath, Gate Weave, Damage or LUT Generator.
The feature that often changes the decision

Halation is one of the clearest reasons to move from Lite to Pro

Lite includes Film Profiles, Film Grain and Bloom, but the current Lite feature set does not include Halation. If warm edge glow around practical lights, bright windows, skin highlights and night scenes is part of the look you are trying to create, Pro becomes much easier to justify.

My buying shortcut

Start with the look you need, not the version name

If you can build the result you want with Film Profiles, Grain and Bloom, Lite may already be enough. If you repeatedly need Halation, Print Films, Film Breath, Gate Weave, Damage or LUT Generator, Pro is the more logical purchase.

I would test both feature sets on the same real project before choosing a lifetime licence.
