What Dehancer brings to FCP

A film look you can continue adjusting shot by shot

Dehancer Pro for Final Cut Pro currently combines 60+ Film Profiles, Print Films, Film Grain, Halation, Bloom, Film Damage, Overscan, LUT Generator and Camera Profiles.

Film Profiles

Choose the film direction first, then tune the surrounding analogue behaviour rather than relying on a fixed LUT.

Texture

Film Grain, Bloom and Halation are particularly useful for travel footage, street lights and practical highlights.

Finishing

Pro adds the deeper print, damage and film-processing controls that turn the plugin into more than a stock selector.

Compatibility · checked August 2026

Current Final Cut Pro requirements

Dehancer Pro currently lists macOS 13 Ventura or newer, Apple Motion 5.6.3 or newer, and Final Cut Pro 11 or 12.

As always with effects plugins, check your exact Mac, GPU and current FCP version against Dehancer's live requirements before purchasing.

Lite

Best if you mainly want Film Profiles, Film Grain, Bloom, CMY Color Head and Camera Profiles.

Pro

Best if you want Halation, Print Films, Film Breath, Gate Weave, Damage, Overscan, film-processing controls and LUT Generator.

Buying decision

Subscription or $999 lifetime?

The Photo & Video plan currently costs $29/month billed yearly and includes multiple video hosts plus the wider Dehancer photo ecosystem. Dehancer currently lists the individual Final Cut Pro Pro lifetime licence at $999 for two seats.

If Final Cut Pro is the only host you expect to use for years, lifetime becomes easier to justify. If you move between applications or also want the photo tools, compare the subscription carefully before paying upfront.
