A Galaxy model name does not tell you whether a clip was recorded in Samsung Log. Standard video, HDR footage and Log recordings need different handling, and mode availability depends on the device and software.
Before building a Resolve grade, confirm the original recording mode and whether any phone app or export has already applied a colour treatment. Preserve the original file when possible so that the input is clear.
For a phone-shot sequence, watch changes between lenses and lighting setups. Balance faces and neutral surfaces first, then choose a creative treatment that does not exaggerate differences from clip to clip.
The useful starting point is the recording mode and export history, not simply the word Galaxy on the phone.

This sequence is designed for an SDR Rec.709 finish. Account for any existing colour management before applying a technical conversion; the same LOG-to-display transformation should not happen twice.

Balance lens changes and mixed lighting before applying a shared look. Check the result on the intended delivery display.
Do not choose a Log conversion for a standard Galaxy video merely because both came from the same device.
A phone export can change the starting image. Check what happened before the file reached the desktop.
Compare consecutive shots for exposure and colour changes as well as the strength of the creative look.
No. Check Samsung’s current model and software guidance, then confirm the recording option on your device.
Do not treat the two as equivalent. Use the colour pipeline appropriate to the actual HDR or Log recording.
Check the export’s colour processing, the project’s interpretation and the viewing environment. Work from a known source before adding another transform.
It can be graded into a coherent sequence, but Samsung Log and Apple Log need their own input handling before visual shot matching.
